Quality of workmanship is guaranteed for a period of one (1) season. Upon completion of installation, The Lincoln Light Guy will inspect all lights, cords, timers and outlets to ensure everything is working correctly.
We recommend that customers turn on lights for several hours over the first three evenings to test your lighting program. This will allow us to make corrections and bulb replacements as soon as possible. Customers are encouraged to perform his/her own visual appearance inspection. Visual appearance includes, but is not limited to, cord-hiding/placement, timer/bulb functionality, materials used, work done meeting customer's expectations, and work-site cleanup. Customer has 72 hours to report any problems of this nature to The Lincoln Light Guy without incurring the service call charge.
Repairs needed due to vandalism, neglect, misuse, or extraordinary weather conditions are not warranted and will be billed accordingly.
Service Policy for Products Purchased From The Lincoln Light Guy
We offer one (1) complimentary return visit per season to replace bulbs that have burnt out (icicle lights excluded). Additional visits for bulb replacements and/or service, will be subject to a $50 service call charge. If a product purchased from The Lincoln Light Guy (ex. Strands of lights, timers, and/or extension cords) should fail, The Lincoln Light Guy will repair or replace the equipment at no cost to the customer.
Service Policy for Products Provided by The Customer
For customers that purchase his/her own lights and/or products, all Repair, replacements and/or service work will be subject to a $50 service call charge. Materials required as a result of these service calls will be billed in addition to the service fee.
Unless caused by vandalism, neglect, misuse, or extreme weather conditions, The Lincoln Light Guy will provide free service calls, replacements and/or repairs for the following: lights falling off roof/fascia, entire strings of lights out (icicle lights are excluded) because of a blown light string fuse, or if a timer or extension cord purchased from The Lincoln Light Guy fails.
If a non-functioning electrical outlet is determined to be the problem, the customer is responsible for the costs of that repair by an alternative service provider and will be charged for a service call by The Lincoln Light Guy.
Any décor added by the customer and/or his/her designee to those installed by The Lincoln Light Guy will nullify the warranties on our work and products.
Takedown service is a customer option and will be billed at the time of removal. We scheduled this by geographic location in order to maximize efficiency. Our goal is to have holiday lights removed on or before January 31st, however we cannot guarantee this timeframe.
Upon removal, The Lincoln Light Guy will wrap your lights and prepare them for storage. Leave us a plastic storage bin (or two…or three…or more!) And we will box them for you to store until the following year!
Billing and Payment
Payment in full is expected at the time of installation, service and/or takedown. For your convenience, The Lincoln Light Guy accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and personal checks. There is a $50 returned check fee. If you have a question about your bill, please contact our office within three (3) days.
If payment does not clear your account within five (5) days of installation, alternative payment arrangements must be made. A 5% late fee will be assessed weekly and is due on the unpaid balance. Subsequent payments will be applied first to any outstanding late fees and the remainder to the unpaid balance on the account.
In the event the customer fails to make payments as required, the account will be considered to be in default and The Lincoln Light Guy reserves the right to remove lights and products from the residence. In addition to the outstanding balance, the customer shall be responsible for costs of collections, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, as allowed by law.
Limited Warranty and Limitation of Liability and Remedies
The Lincoln Light Guy does not endorse, warranty, or testify to the fitness of goods provided to the customer or by the customer. This includes, but is not limited to: decorative lights, clips, extension cords, timers, three way electrical adaptors, Tape, Staples, etc. The Lincoln Light Guy is not responsible for any damage, loss of profits or income, property loss or damage caused by products provided to the Customer, or by the customer, or because of faulty or inadequate electrical systems.
It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that all household electrical systems and services are in proper working order prior to installation of decorative lighting. The Lincoln Light Guy is not responsible for the costs of electricity incurred to illuminate the decorative display.
